Briefly summarize the story of the tortoise. What is the purpose of this folktale about the Tortoise? Why do you think it is inserted at this specific point?

Tortoise is starving and he hears the birds are going to have a feast in the sky. He wants to come to the feast so he convinces all the birds to give him one feather. He flies up to the feast and while he is doing that he said that they all needed a new name and he named himself "All of You". When the people in the sky said that the feast was for ALL OF YOU... the tortoise got to eat all and he got to have all the food. The birds were very very mad and they took back their feather so that he could not fly down. He asked Parrot to tell his wife to put out all soft things on their yard. However, Parrot was still angry and he told the wife to put out hard objects. Tortoise dropped from the sky and he landed on all the hard objects and his shell broke. A medicine man fixed him up, however, his shell is not even still to this day.

I think the purpose of the folktale was just to entertain each other (Efwiki and Ezinma) during story time. 

I think it was inserted in that point because they wanted to show that there were lores and that there were myths that they had too. I think it was implying that Okonkwo is greedy like when he was the 2nd leader of the gods and things. He is confident and he is a little to confident I think, I feel that he is going to fall from the sky and he will get hurt in some way.
